Requiem For A Feeling

Exams are over and im extremely relieved....but then i cant help feeling depressed at the same time....woke up this morning and was greeted with a cloudy and gloomy sky...as im typing, heavy raindrops fall... tears from heaven...very appropriate cos im crying inside...

Yesterday i had lunch wit someone i really care bout...it was in summer 2003 that i 1st met up with her(in KL,Malaysia)...it had been years since i'd seen her cos she was a former high school classmate...incidently she was one of the gals who sat behind me in class...anyways since then, weve been meeting up pretty regular in London as well...up until now...in July i'll be back in Malaysia and she'll be in UK for at least 2 more years...doesnt take a genius to see where all this is going...

I could go on and on about her personality and why i really like her...but i wont cos it'll onli make me feel worse...in many ways i blame myself....was it my lack of effort? because i seldom call? because i dont express myself enough?....sigh..it seems all my relationships go to the shithole...is this love im feeling?...what isit?....in Matrix Revolutions, a program told Neo that "Love is just a word, the reality is the connection it implies"...how true...there is a connection between us...but a connection that time and distance will sever....call me pessimistic, but im also a realist...its a fact and i know it...somehow this fact makes it harder for me to let go...

In a way its good that both of us have been avoiding this topic...i guess if we really brought it out it would haf been much worse...she's busy wit her work and i had my exams to worry about...so we really didnt haf time for a solid relationship....something i really wanted but never happened...but then im really grateful for the few hours on weekends that i got to spend time wit her...its not much but its all i had and i'll never forget them...im already starting to miss her

Closing another chapter in my life...

Shepherds Pie@Marley

Last week Tomoteru(Malaysian Chinese bloke) and myself decided to cook dinner for a bunch of gals...thats cos the gals have been cooking seriusly good food for us since they arrived in Feb this year!...so to return the favour, Tomo and me decided to roll up our sleeves and turn feminine for the evening...u shud haf seen us....two guys sweating it out in the kitchen...one slicing and dicing, another dancing around the stove...it was totally gay

Anyways im extremely proud of myself...Tomoteru and me succesfully made shepherds pie(or the equivalent)!...it was topped with a mix of paramesan and cedar cheese which we left to melt on top of the pie...perfected!....we also cooked spaghetti bolognese and finished of the dinner with choc cake and cheese cake(bought of cos)...and we washed it all down with Smirnoff triple filtered...ahha...i even got out me speakers and laptop to create some vibes....with Ayumi Hamasaki and Beyond in the background, the dinner mood was perfect!...

As the famous Chinese saying goes "Sek Hai Fook" meaning Eating is a Blessing...or sometin like that...lol...well i got a bbq to attend now...cheers!

Spring@Greenwich

Honestly, ive been sitting here for the past 10 mins trying to figure out the right words to start of this posting after MIA for such a long period of time...much has happened over the past few weeks...but first, just wana say aBIG thank you to my faithful blogger frens who've been checking my blog fer updates only to be dissapointed...really sori...u know who u are!...

Time!...a gift or curse from God?....a week ago, i organised a picnic(for UEL Malaysian Society) at Greenwich Park, aptly named Spring@Greenwich...in front of the park is The National Maritime Museum and on top of Greenwich Park hill sits the magnificent Royal Observatory...wat can i say, it was the perfect morning for a picnic...beautiful weather, beatiful scenery, and very beautiful people...in the words of my friend "We acted like a recently released prison immates"...our eyes were in every direction...the guys i mean...lol...we did haf a good laugh playing mini rugby and definately suceeded in making a fool of ourselves on thr grass, but hey it was fun!...

Went up to the observatory and had a bit of lame fun crossing between the Prime Meridian which separates the eastern and western hemispere. Had an interesting tour thru the observatory and looked at a couple of long pipes used to study the stars.... Whats cool is that some of the pipes could still be used...in fact there was one big momma called the "28 inch photo visual refractor telescope"...its still in use and is controlled with some supposedly "high tech" computer system which looks like my dads old 486 pc...i had quite alot of fun playing Larry: Land of The Lounge Lizzards on that computer...ahh sweet memories!...but seriusly, if aimed in the right dimension, that 28 inch thingy could scope out some serius action for me...lol...

Besides the big momma, i really didnt haf much fun lookin at bunch of old clocks and mechanisms which tell the time so accurately, i got paranoid and started adjusting my watch...so now i can safely say my watch tells the exact time...to the second!...ok i know its lame...whats even more lame is that for 1 quid, u can get a "certificate" that says u visited the observatory and crossed between the hemisheres...what a scam!...overall it was pretty 'educational' tour and i did have a great view of London from the top of the observatory...the rest of the time i was either basking in the sunlight or busy zooming in on the female species with me frens 20x optical zoom camera...not as big as the 28 inch, but it did the job just fine...

Had 2 portions of nasi lemak and meehun which was cooked by one of the members...wicked stuff!...finally we finished of the afternoon with a walk thru Greenwich Market...and guess wat i bought!... a really cool wooden gun which fires rubberbands!..hahah...this baby can fire 4 ruberbands in succesion...if ur feeling abit sadistic, u can shoot ur little bro or sis with 2 or 3 at the same time...as u can tell, i was probably a nightmare to my sis when i was a kid...but lets put the past behind us...hehe

Event attended by 25 persons...Definately a success!...Cheers!
