A Spray Of Luck
In my last post i highlighted the Make Poverty History campaign..after so long, i can start of on all the other tragic incidents that have been hapening..i could talk bout my unfortunate situation or the bombings in London or the kids dying of dehydration an malnutrition in Niger...even as i type, emergency services are still cleaning up the mess left behind by this afternoons explosions in central London....but i dont wana go on bout that
Right now im seated in front of my desk and im lookin out my room window...its an absolutely beautiful day!...its 9.16pm and theres still daylight....the sky is clear...planes are flying to and from London's airports...opposite the road is West India Quay, a part of upscale area Canary Wharf....i haf an awesome view of 1st Canada Square, the tallest building along the Thames river...and in Canary Wharf, loads of restaurants and pubs are open with multitudes of Londoners dining an drinking aways after a long day at work...oh, and the cinema is across the road from where i live...its another beautiful summer day in London!
And where do i live?...an area called Poplar which is at the border of Canary Wharf...rent is reasonable fer this area, nieghbors are friendly, and housemates couldnt be nicer...things a turning around fer me...if i didnt haf such nice housemates, i think i'd still be in a state of depression...this saturday were having anoder housemate day out....the last time we went pub crawling(none of us remembered how we got home after)...this time were goin fer Karaoke!...English style though...and its in a pub down the road...hahaha...i must say, over the past week things have been getting so much better...met some new Malaysian friends, settled some draggy relationship issues, and got "showered" with coffee today...
Ok heres wat happened...in the morning, i went into office pantry innocently thinking of making a cup of coffee....and on the cabinet top sat a brand new coffee dispensing machine!...my days stirring coffee were over!...so i followed the instructions...
1. Place Coffee/Mocha/Hot Choc satchet inside compartment - Ok
2. Select type ( Coffee, Mocha, Hot Choc) - Coffee
3. Place cup inside cup compartment - I did that
4. Press Start - I pressed it
What happened next sounded like a mini huricane...GRUSSHHHWP !!...a split second later, a spray of warm liquid gushed out from the machine...but not into the cup!...ON ME !!!....reacting spontaneaouly, i leapt to the side dodging the second spray...i swear Spiderman couldnt do better....anyways the rest spurted into the cup little by little...it was almost obscene...apparently i was the 1st guy to use it and the nozzle of the dispenser wasnt screwed in properly...so armed with a half cup off watery coffee and staind pants, i was ready to face the day! ....(suddenly i feel kinda stupid)...lol
So that was today...wonder wats gona happen this weekend...cant wait...Well i survived a day of bombings and killer coffee dispensers...life just goes on....coffee anyone?
